Our Story

From the bedside to a family-centred practice.

Apex was founded by a Licensed Practical Nurse who has spent the better part of a decade in Alberta hospitals, long-term care, and family homes. Long enough to know what works at the bedside — and long enough to see what working families actually need from home care.

The motivation was simple. Too many families were being passed between caregivers they barely knew, given paperwork they didn't understand, and billed for care that didn't quite fit. Apex was built to be the opposite of that — small enough to be personal, clinical enough to be trusted, and warm enough to feel like a friend at your kitchen table.

We started in Calgary in 2026 with a quiet ambition: care that holds its standard at 3 a.m. as well as 3 p.m., shaped by a nurse, delivered by a team you actually know.

Approved provider through Alberta Health Services' Client-Directed Home Care Invoicing (CDHCI) pathway.

Funded

PDD & FSCD Funding

We accept Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) and Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) funding.

$5M Liability Coverage

Professionally insured with $5M Commercial General Liability — the standard a clinically-led practice should carry.

WCB Workers' Compensation

All staff are WCB covered. Families never carry employer risk for a worker injured on shift.
