Apex Homecare & Disability Services opened its doors in Calgary in 2026 — a boutique home care practice for the families who want clinical thinking, calm communication, and continuity of care.
Apex was founded by a Licensed Practical Nurse who has spent the better part of a decade in Alberta hospitals, long-term care, and family homes. Long enough to know what works at the bedside — and long enough to see what working families actually need from home care.
The motivation was simple. Too many families were being passed between caregivers they barely knew, given paperwork they didn't understand, and billed for care that didn't quite fit. Apex was built to be the opposite of that — small enough to be personal, clinical enough to be trusted, and warm enough to feel like a friend at your kitchen table.
We started in Calgary in 2026 with a quiet ambition: care that holds its standard at 3 a.m. as well as 3 p.m., shaped by a nurse, delivered by a team you actually know.
Speak With Our Care TeamTo deliver the highest standard of home care in Alberta — clinically led, family-centred, and unhurried — so people can live and recover where they feel most themselves.
A Calgary where every family has access to a small, trusted nursing practice that treats their loved one like a person — not a chart, not a case number.
Care plans written by a nurse. Communication you can read in plain language. Billing without surprises. A direct line back to the LPN behind the plan.
Every plan is grounded in evidence-based nursing practice. We do not improvise on safety.
Wherever possible, the same caregiver returns. Familiarity is part of the medicine.
We don't fill the room. We show up calm, listen carefully, and act decisively when it matters.
Care affects the whole household. Spouses, adult children, siblings — all part of the circle.
Personal care is never transactional. Modesty, choice, and pace belong to the person receiving care.
Transparent rates. Clear funding pathways. No minimum-hour contracts. No surprise add-ons.
Founder is a Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA / CLHA).

We accept Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) and Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) funding.
Professionally insured with $5M Commercial General Liability — the standard a clinically-led practice should carry.
All staff are WCB covered. Families never carry employer risk for a worker injured on shift.
Proudly accepting Veterans Affairs Canada-approved care arrangements for Veteran clients and their families.
